Help document grading and attribution inconsistencies

About TPGAudit

TPGAudit documents observable grading, attribution, labeling, and holder-integrity inconsistencies in third-party numismatic encapsulation. The database is built on verifiable evidence and maintained to a consistent editorial standard.

If you have encountered a documented inconsistency in a graded coin holder, you are invited to submit it for review and potential inclusion.

What We Accept

  • Observable errors supported by photographic or slab evidence
  • Objectively identifiable inconsistencies (attribution, labeling, denomination, date, holder integrity)
  • Cases involving any third-party grading service (NGC, PCGS, ANACS, ICG, or others)

What We Do Not Accept

  • Grading opinion disputes — disagreements about numeric grade assignment
  • Unverifiable or secondhand reports
  • Speculative claims or hearsay
  • Submissions containing defamatory, accusatory, or inflammatory language

Submission Guidelines

  • Include a clear photo of the slab label (front of holder)
  • Include obverse and reverse coin images if possible
  • Certification number is required or strongly preferred
  • Describe what the label says versus what the coin appears to be
  • Anonymous submissions are accepted, but providing an email address helps with follow-up and verification

All submissions are reviewed before inclusion. Accepted cases are documented using qualified language and assigned a severity and classification consistent with the published methodology.
